Most templates ship empty, and an empty template is a shape without an argument. You can see where the numbers go and still not know what a good answer looks like.
Every file here ships twice. The worked example carries a complete fictional business — Meridian Services Group, ninety-five people, mid-market services — at one moment in time, and every figure in it reconciles. The same company runs through every product in the shop, so a number that leaves one file arrives in the next unchanged.
Microsoft PowerPoint and Word 2016 or later, on Windows or Mac, or Microsoft 365. No macros, no add-ins and no external links, which is what corporate security policies actually block.
The guidance is written in its own paragraph style, so you can select all of it at once and delete it before you circulate the file.
