Structured competitor analysis that reaches a conclusion.

Built by a practising business manager, for the people who inherit a role with no toolkit and rebuild the same spreadsheet from scratch at every company.

Who this is for

It is for strategy leads, planning managers and the person who has to turn a board ambition into something with dates on it.

It is not for you if your planning cycle already produces commitments people act on. Nothing here will improve on that.

What you get

Why the worked example matters

Most templates ship empty, and an empty template is a shape without an argument. You can see where the numbers go and still not know what a good answer looks like.

Every file here ships twice. The worked example carries a complete fictional business — Meridian Services Group, ninety-five people, mid-market services — at one moment in time, and every figure in it reconciles. The same company runs through every product in the shop, so a number that leaves one file arrives in the next unchanged.

What it needs

Microsoft Word and PowerPoint 2016 or later, on Windows or Mac, or Microsoft 365. No macros, no add-ins and no external links, which is what corporate security policies actually block.

The guidance is written in its own paragraph style, so you can select all of it at once and delete it before you circulate the file.

Licence

Single-user commercial licence. Use it in your own business, on client work, and inside the organisation you work for. Not for resale, redistribution, or inclusion in a product of your own.

Questions

Email hello@thecadencekit.com. Asking whether this will do what you need is a better use of that address than asking for a refund afterwards.
