Issues with an escalation path, not just a list.
Built by a practising business manager, for the people who inherit a role with no toolkit and rebuild the same spreadsheet from scratch at every company.
It is for committee secretaries, risk owners and anyone who has been asked where a decision was recorded and had to go and look.
It is not for you if your governance is already documented and someone owns it. Nothing here will improve on that.
Most templates ship empty, and an empty template is a shape without an argument. You can see where the numbers go and still not know what a good answer looks like.
Every file here ships twice. The worked example carries a complete fictional business — Meridian Services Group, ninety-five people, mid-market services — at one moment in time, and every figure in it reconciles. The same company runs through every product in the shop, so a number that leaves one file arrives in the next unchanged.
Microsoft Excel 2016 or later, on Windows or Mac, or Microsoft 365. No macros, no add-ins and no external links, which is what corporate security policies actually block.
Not compatible with Google Sheets. Structured references, named ranges, dropdown validation and conditional formatting do not survive the conversion. Said here rather than discovered after you have paid.
The guidance sits on its own tabs — Start here and How to use — and no formula in the workbook reads from either, so you can delete both before circulating the file and every number still works.
Single-user commercial licence. Use it in your own business, on client work, and inside the organisation you work for. Not for resale, redistribution, or inclusion in a product of your own.
Email hello@thecadencekit.com. Asking whether this will do what you need is a better use of that address than asking for a refund afterwards.
Take the free one first and see whether the way these are built suits you.
Double opt-in — you will get a confirmation email first. No more than one email a week, and every one of them has a link to leave at the bottom.
